What is Breaking Load Limit and Working Load Limit ?
Working load: work load, load capacity, WLL (Work Load Limit), SWL (Safe Working Load) - The working load indicates the force with which the material may be regularly loaded in everyday work.
Breaking load: breaking strength, MBL (Minimum Breaking Load), MBS (Minimum Breaking Strength), BLL (Breaking Load Limit) - The (minimum) breaking load indicates the force at which the material fails.
The WLL is determined by dividing the Breaking Load Limit (BLL) by a safety factor (SF). To calculate the WLL, we use the formula: WLL = BLL / SF.
Let's consider an example using bodyloops (per unit, not a pair). The BLL is 850 kg, equivalent to 8.34 kN, while the WLL is 121 kg, or 1.19 kN, assuming a safety factor of 7 (7:1, 7 to 1, or 1/7).
For all our products, we adhere to a 7:1 safety factor (SF) to ensure utmost safety and reliability.
